Title: State of Communications 2009

Summary:

This annual report provides an analysis of the state of electronic and postal communications in Portugal. This document is divided into two separate parts.

Part I - The section on electronic communications service includes chapters on telephone service at a fixed location, mobile telephone service, internet access service (fixed and mobile) and subscription television. This edition includes for the first time a section on development of high-speed networks.

Part II - The report also includes an annex of statistical information collected directly from providers through sample consumption surveys, as well as information collected by national and international institutions that serve as reference for development in Portugal.
