The XIV Forum of the Association of Postal and Telecommunications Operators of the Portuguese-speaking countries and Territories (AICEP) is currently taking place in Maceió, Brazil. The work of the forum, whose theme is "The Networked Society", involves the analysis, from a range of perspectives, of the key questions related to the networked society, the knowledge society and the information society.
Representatives from the sector regulators, including ANACOM, will be attending the forum, along with university professors, managers of communication sector companies, representatives of international bodies and specialist associations, as well as managers from companies working in the media, multimedia, telecommunications and post. The forum opened on 26 April 2006 and finishes tomorrow.
