By determination of 17 November 2011, ANACOM has approved the final decision, to be published in Diário da República (Official Gazette), on the methodology to be used in formulating and executing plans for monitoring and measuring the intensity levels of electromagnetic fields produced by radiocommunication stations.

Approval was likewise given to the report of the general consultation procedure to which the respective draft regulation was submitted and pursuant to which the following undertakings stated their positions: Agência Portuguesa do Ambiente (Portuguese Environment Agency), APR - Associação Portuguesa de Radiodifusão (Portuguese Broadcasting Association), Grupo Portugal Telecom (comprising Portugal Telecom SGPS, PT Comunicações, PT Prime - Soluções Empresariais de Comunicações e Sistemas and TMN - Telecomunicações Móveis Nacionais), ERATEL - Consultores de Radiodifusão e Engenharia de Telecomunicações, Optimus - Comunicações, Vodafone Portugal, Comunicações Pessoais, and ZON TV Cabo Portugal (in the name of its subsidiaries).
