(Click on the link to see the image on a new page)
Summary: The January 2012 issue of the Spectru monthly bulletin contains a report about the first phase of the plan to end terrestrial analogue television broadcasts (plan for switch-off - PSO), which began with the Palmela transmitter's disconnection at 11:45 a.m. on 12 January. The second wave of ANACOM's DTT awareness campaign is also described; its aim is to make sure people know what to do to keep watching the four open signal television channels after the switch-off. Another highlight of this issue concerns the consultation on the circumstances, format and procedures applied to the reporting of security breaches or integrity failures with major impact on the functioning of publicly accessible electronic communication networks and/or services.
