On 6 January 2012, ANACOM approved the final report of the auction for the allocation of rights of use of frequencies in the 450 MHz, 800 MHz, 900 MHz, 1800 GHz, 2.1 GHz and 2.6 GHz bands (multiband auction).

The multiband auction raised a final amount of 372 million euros from the winning bidders, as follows: 113 million euros (Optimus), 113 million euros (TMN) and 146 million euros (Vodafone).
