Summary: The February 2012 issue of the Spectru monthly bulletin covers the first phase of the plan to end analogue terrestrial television transmissions (switch-off plan), approval of the report from the public consultation on the process of designating universal electronic communications service provider(s) and the launch of two consultations, one on revision of the broadband markets analysis and the other on unification of the titles of Optimus, TMN and Vodafone. This issue also includes articles on the publication of ANACOM studies regarding universal postal service provider prices in the European Union in 2011, the quality of service of GSM and UMTS networks in the Azores and Madeira, and disclosure of the draft decision on the price of the service of (analogue) broadcasting and distribution of (terrestrial) television signal practiced by PT Comunicações, as duly reported to the European Commission, BEREC and national regulatory authorities of the other European Union member states.
