São Tomé and Prínciple hosted last 16-20 April the second year 2012 capacity-building action of the ITU Excellence Centre for the Portuguese and Spanish speaking countries in Africa, which focused on the management of internet domains and numbering. The event was attended by sector managers and technical personnel from São Tomé and Angola.
Two experts, from the regulators in Cape Verde and Portugal, led the proceedings. The participants shared knowledge and skills regarding internet domain management and the principles of conceiving and structuring a national numbering plan. This was regarded as important with a view to preparing the island country for the entry of another operator.
