The Government has presented draft Law 60/XII to the Portuguese Parliament, the Assembly of the Republic (AR). This draft law sets up the compensation fund of the universal service of electronic communications as provided for under the LCE - Lei das Comunicações Eletrónicas (Electronic Communications Law) as a means of financing the net costs of universal service provision.
