The project team on Technical Regulation and Interconnection Standards (PT TRIS) of the Numbering and Networks working group (WG NaN) met last 25-26 June at the Copenhagen offices of the European Communications Office (ECO) to draw up a report and subsequent recommendation on internet quality of service (QoS). Scenarios and metrics were determined for evaluation of internet access quality by means of measurement tools, sponsored by regulators or independent bodies. These parameters and scenarios must also serve as a reference for the quality indicators that must be set out in the contracts of internet service providers (ISPs) with their customers.
The next meeting of this project team will be held in October 2012.
