Workshop - Nice
A European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) workshop was held on 22-24 June in Nice.
Following on previous initiatives, this workshop sought to inform new ETSI participants or the interested general public about ETSI?s activities and mode of operations.
Various presentations were made during the two-and-a-half-day workshop, involving a number of ETSI personnel, who described what ETSI is, how it works, its position in the overall world of telecommunications, how it is financed, how it creates European standards and its relations with other standardisation bodies, among other more specific topics such as internal organisation, groups and partnerships set up within its structure and the approval processes for reports and standards.
