By deliberation of 13 July 2006 the draft regulation has been approved which defines the methodology to be used until 2010 for monitoring and measuring intensity levels of electromagnetic fields produced by radiocommunication stations for each publicly available electronic communication service.
Under article 9 and 11 of ANACOM's statutes (Decree-Law no. 309/2001, 7 December) and point 2 of article 12 of Decree-Law no. 11/2003, 18 January, the draft regulation has been submitted to the regulatory procedure, with opinions being sought from Instituto do Ambiente (The Environment Institute) and Direcção Geral de Saúde (The General Health Directorate).
