PT's Cost Accounting System

Statement of Compliance

By determination of July 5, 2001 and following an audit of Portugal Telecom's cost accounting system's of the 1999 financial year results, Portugal Telecom, S.A.'s cost accounting system for leased lines service was declared to be in compliance with the obligations laid down in Article 10(2) of Directive 92/44/EC, with the wording given by Paragraph b) of Article 2(10) of Directive 97/51/EC, and Article 29(3) of the Regulations for the Exploitation of Public Telecommunications Networks (Decree-Law n.º 290-A/99, of July 30).
