By determination of 25 November 2009, ANACOM has given approval to the final version of the 2nd edition of the manual of Telecommunications infrastructures  in buildings (ITED) and the 1st edition of the manual of Infrastructures for telecommunications in housing developments, urban settlements and concentrations of buildings (ITUR), which enter into force on 1 January 2010.

It was further decided to establish a transition period for the 2nd edition of the ITED Manual until 31 March 2010. During this period, ITED projects which are in accordance with the requirements and specifications of the previous version of the Manual (ITED Manual - 1st edition) will continue to be considered as valid.  For such purpose, the date considered shall be the date of entry in the Municipal Councils in cases referenced in article 71 of Decree-Law No. 123/2009 of 21 May, or the project conclusion date, referenced expressly in the statement of responsibilities, in cases referenced in article 72 of the same Decree-Law.
