Electronic Commerce

The revolution of information technologies and their widespread dissemination on the internet over the last decade have led to an unprecedented development of electronic commerce, making it one of the pillars of the information society.

ANACOM plays an important role in this domain, for which it has been designated the central supervisory authority, with powers in all areas regulated therein, a function added to its position as the national regulatory authority for electronic communications and postal services.

In this context, new duties with respect to regulation, supervision, disputes and information will fall upon ANACOM. This section shall provide relevant, systematised and updated information concerning electronic commerce.
