Background
With the roaming service, a user of the mobile telephone service can make and receive calls, send or receive data (including SMS, MMS, and Internet access) or gain access to other features of this service while abroad, using the mobile telephone service network of an operator in the country being visited. Accordingly, roaming makes it possible to use mobile phones abroad, while keeping the same number.
Considering the importance of international roaming services to the development of communications, it is ANACOM's goal with this area of the website to improve the availability of information on roaming, in particular regarding tariff transparency, with the aim of giving users a clear picture of the applicable tariff and user conditions.
