The European Conference of Postal and Telecommunications Administrations (CEPT) is a regional organization that was established in 1959 by the representatives of 19 countries and which now has participation from 48 members, including ANACOM as representative of Portugal. CEPT's activities include cooperation in matters of trade, operations, regulation and technical standardisation. The CEPT is also responsible for coordinating European positions for submission to the ITU World Radiocommunication Conferences.
