The Radio and Telecommunications Terminal Equipment Compliance Association (R&TTE CA) comprises regulators, notified bodies, laboratories, equipment makers and European Commission representatives. Its mission is to discuss technical questions and the production of technical guides for verifying compliance of equipment covered by the R&TTE Directive, transposed into the national legal order by Decree-Law no. 192/2000 of 18 August.
The Association has the further aim of attending to the requirements set in the European Commission document CERTIF 94/6 on the ''Structure for co-ordination and co-operation among notified bodies, member states and the European Commission in the scope of harmonisation of the community directives based on the New Approach and Comprehensive Approach''.
