The European Commission has established the Radio Spectrum Policy Group and the European Regulators Group for Electronic Communications Networks and Services through Decisions 2002/622/EC and 2002/627/EC of 26 and 29 July 2002, respectively. These Decisions follow the approval of the 1999 Communications Review Package, published last April, which has issued a new and harmonized regulatory framework for the electronic communications sector.
