By determination of 13 January 2010, ANACOM has adopted the final decision on the telephone directories and information services within the scope of the universal service (US), whereby it is determined to ZON TV Cabo (ZON) and to PT Comunicações (PTC) that, within 15 working days from the date on which notification of the determination is made, they take steps to reach an agreement on the format and the conditions applicable to the provision of relevant information about subscribers who have expressed a wish that their data be included in the directories and information services of the universal service.
In this decision, it was further determined that, at the end of this period, the companies submit copies of the concluded agreement, as well as information on its immediate implementation, to ANACOM.
In the event that no such agreement is reached, the companies concerned shall notify ANACOM to this effect and send detailed evidence of the steps taken, of the difficulties encountered and of the means by which they believe that such obstacles could be surpassed, in order that this Authority may determine the format and conditions to apply to the provision of said information to the provider of the universal service, i.e., PT Comunicações.
ANACOM likewise approved the report on the prior hearing to which the respective draft decision, adopted on 21 October 2009, was submitted.
