Summary:
The 9th edition of the International Telecommunication Union's ''World Telecommunication/ICT Development Report'' focuses its analysis on monitoring the targets set at the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS). This is a mid-term review, the year 2010 being the midpoint between 2005, the WSIS conclusion stage, and 2015, the deadline set at the World Summit for achieving the 10 targets which make up the commitment taken by Governments. This report analyzes the 10 targets, proposes actual indicators for monitoring such targets and lays down recommendations on policies and measures to help achieve them.
