ANACOM is representing Portugal at The International Telecommunication Union’s World Telecommunication Development Conference which is being held in Doha, Qatar until 15th March.

One of the objectives of the Conference is to give top-level recognition to the existence of a Digital Divide that has resulted from the rapid but irregular spread of information and communication technologies (ICTs), and identify ways of bridging this divide.  Another objective is to promote international cooperation in order to support and strengthen telecommunication infrastructure and institutions in developing countries.
