NTFA 2010-2011 - consultation closes

By determination of 7 July 2011 and pursuant to articles 15 and 16 of Law no. 5/2004 of 10 February, ANACOM has approved the 2010/2011 version of the National Table of Frequency Allocations (NTFA) which will apply in Portugal in 2011-2012.

Approval was likewise given to the general consultation procedure to which the draft NTFA 2010/2011 of 24 March 2011 was submitted.  Responses to the procedure were received from: Grupo Portugal Telecom (on behalf of and representing Portugal Telecom SGPS, PT Comunicações, PT Prime and TMN – Telecomunicações Móveis Nacionais), João Costa (Radioamador), José Moreira (Amateur Radio operator), Optimus - Comunicações, Pedro Ribeiro (Radioamador), Vodafone Portugal and ZON TV Cabo Portugal.

Glossary
National Frequency Allocation Plan (NFAP): Spectrum management instrument that consists of the frequency allocation table (radio services assigned to each band), the publication of the allocated and reserved spectrum in the scope of publicly available electronic communications networks and services, as well as the specific cases that require rights of use and the respective process of allocation.
