The Universal Postal Union (UPU) has launched two public tenders, one for the provision of Escrow services to support the .post Registry, and the other for the provision of Registry services to support the .post Registry. The deadline for the submission of proposals is 3 February 2012.
The Escrow agent to be contracted to support the UPU in the management of the .post Registry must be highly trusted and reliable. Meanwhile, the provider of Registry services is needed to support the implementation and technical operation of the .post domain (including design, setup and ongoing operation of the technological infrastructure needed for the functioning of .post domain operations). In addition, strict conformity is required with UPU and Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) legal and technical stipulations.
The “.post” domain, created and managed by UPU, is intended to be a global, trusted, stable, secure, innovative standard identifier of the postal community in cyberspace.
