Consult updated information on the monthly trends in ported numbers.

  

April 2012:

 
2,023,350 is reported as the total number of numbers ported, of which 1,539,250 are numbers of the fixed telephone service, 482,219 are numbers of the mobile telephone service and 1881 are numbers belonging to other non-geographic services.

Accumulated values:

 
From a total of 3,185,391 of ported numbers since the introduction of portability up until 30 April 2012, 2,423,361 are numbers of the fixed telephone service, 759,683 are numbers of the mobile telephone service and 2347 are numbers belonging to other non-geographic services.

Glossary
Mobile Telecommunications Services: Telecommunications service in which the subscriber's access is made through a non-fixed type of system, using radioelectric propagation through the air.
Non-geographic number: A number from the national numbering plan that is not a geographic number, including in particular mobile, freephone and premium rate numbers.
Number Portability: Ability of a client who transfers from one operator to another to retain the same number, provided there is no change of address.
Telephone Service at a Fixed Location (FTS): In portuguese, Serviço Telefónico em Local Fixo (STF). Provision of direct voice transport to the general public in real time and at fixed locations, thereby allowing any user to communicate with another terminal point, through equipment connected to a terminal point in the network.
