Framework:

The Portuguese Committee of URSI hosted its sixth congress focusing on the ''Electromagnetic wave applications: from energy efficiency to bioengineering''.

Toked place on 16 November 2012 at Fundação Portuguesa das Comunicações (Portuguese Communications Foundation) in Lisbon, the Congress saw the presentation of national and international papers and projects related to this theme.

The Portuguese Committee of URSI - International Union of Radio Science is responsible, on a national basis, for stimulating, promoting and coordinating studies in the areas of radioelectric, telecommunications, and electronics science, whereas ANACOM is responsible for the organisation of the works.
