Study on substitutability between fixed broadband and mobile broadband

This study, conducted for ANACOM by IMR - Instituto de Marketing Research (Institute for Marketing Research) examines the relationship of substitutability between fixed broadband and mobile broadband, focusing on providers of the broadband Internet service operating in Portugal, as well as on the country's resident end-users.

According to the study, the existence of multiple technologies and Internet access platforms tends to generate three structural benefits: increased range of end-user choice, a contribution to innovation in services and downward pressure on prices.
