Publicity and information of utilitarian nature in telephone directories

Publicity and information of utilitarian nature in telephone directories ANACOM has given approval to the final decision to alter the text of the determination of 8 November 2005 regarding the inclusion of publicity and information of utilitarian nature in telephone directories made available under the scope of the universal service of electronic communications.

In accordance with this decision, approved on 14 June 2007, the providers of publically available electronic communication services must notify PT Comunicações (PTC) of the data which they intend to have included in the opening pages of the directories.

Publication of this data is to be ensured, provided that the respective notification is made at least 25 days before the closing date of the directory edition. Whenever requested, PTC shall inform the providers of electronic communication services of the dates on which the edition of each directory is due to close, when this date is within the next 60 days.

The report on the prior hearing of interested parties on the corresponding draft decision approved by determination of 26 April 2007 forms an integral part of the present determination.
