Portability Regulation - draft amendment
15.10.2008By determination of 15 October 2008, ANACOM approved a draft amendment to Regulation no. 58/2005 of 18 August (Portability Regulation) and the respective statement of reasons.
This draft amendment is subject to the regulatory procedure provided for in article 11 of ANACOM's Statutes, as well as to the general consultation procedure established in article 8 of the Electronic Communications Law, a period of 30 working days having been set for comments in the context of both procedures.

Portability: Feature which means that subscribers to publically available telephone services can request to maintain their number, in respect of the same service, irrespective of the company offering the service, in the case of geographic numbers, at a determined location, and in the case of other numbers, through national territory (operator portability).
