URSI 2008 - Closure of Call for papers

Yesterday, 20 October, marked the closure of the call for papers issued in respect of the 2nd Congress of the Portuguese Committee of URSI being held in Lisbon on 20 and 21 November 2008 and addressing the topic of ''Electromagnetic Compatibility and New Radiocommunications Services''.

The selected works will be presented at the event with the aim of promoting their release and encouraging the exchange of experience between researchers, manufacturers and service providers, among others.

Electromagnetic Compatibility: Where the electromagnetic characteristics of a piece of equipment or a device are engineered in such a way as not to interfere with other nearby equipment.
Radiocommunication Service: A service involving the transmission, emission and/or reception of radio waves for specific telecommunication purposes.
