The Portuguese Committee of URSI was held on 20 and 21 November 2008 on the subject of 'Electromagnetic Compatibility and New Radiocommunications Services'. URSI - International Union of Radio Science is a non-governmental and non-profit making organisation under the auspices of the International Council of Scientific Unions. Its aim is to encourage and coordinate, at an international level, studies, research, applications, scientific exchanges and information sharing in the area of radio electricity sciences. The Portuguese Committee of URSI is holding its second event on 20 and 21 November, on the subject of "Electromagnetic Compatibility and New Radiocommunications Services", with the aims of promoting the dissemination of scientific work in these areas and encouraging experience exchange between researchers, manufacturers and service providers, among others. The second day of the event is reserved for the presentation of international projects, with an exhibition being held at the same time on equipment and systems. The event is preceded by a call for papers on the areas identified as the scientific themes of the Congress. The works selected will be presented at the event. |
