Meeting of project team for Next Generation Networks - Bonn

contentArea_6

The German city of Bonn hosted last 22-23 April a meeting of the project team (PT) on Next Generation Networks (NGN). The participants specifically discussed the projects to be undertaken in the scope of the I/ERG working programme for 2009, especially the report analysing economic aspects associated to the roll-out of next generation access (NGA) networks and, generically, the regulators' decisions in this area, while at the same time intending to check whether the conclusions in the 2007 ERG Common Position concerning NGA are still valid. Also debated was the interim report on future charging mechanisms and long term termination issues, aspects which will be subject to detailed analysis in a future ERG common position.
