Statement

For all due purposes, it is declared that Decree-Law no. 237/98, of August 31, published in the Diário da República, 1.ª série-A, no. 179, of 5 August 1998, the original of which is archived in this General Secretariat, was issued with the following inaccuracies, which are thus rectified:

In nr. 2 of Article 1, where it reads:

"Law no. 31-A/98, of July 14 (Television Law), "

it should read:

"Law no. 31-A/98, of July 14. "

In no. 4, where it reads:

"The right arising from the conditions established in nr. 2 should be exercised by the concerned operators, under penalty of lapse of rights, within a period of 60 days and be communicated to the Alta Autoridade para a Comunicação Social (High Authority for the Mass Media), henceforth known as AACS, with 30 days subsequent. "

it should read:

"The right arising from the conditions established in no. 2 should be exercised within the Instituto de Comunicação Social (Institute of Mass Media - ICS) by the concerned operators, under penalty of lapse of rights, within a period of 60 days after the date of attribution of the network operator licence to be used and should be communicated by that institution to the Alta Autoridade para a Comunicação Social (High Authority for the Mass Media), henceforth known as AACS, within the 30 days subsequent. "

In no. 2 of article 7, where it reads:
"to amounts not inferior to 25% "

it should read:
"to an amount not inferior to 25 %. "

In no. 1 of article 8, where it reads:
"Instituto da Comunicação Social (ICS). "

it should read:
"ICS."

In no. 2 of article 10, where it reads:
"nesessários "

it should read:
"necessários."
