ANACOM's website features documents in formats which require specific programs to be viewed.
PDF Format: To view the content of these documents, you will need Acrobat Reader®.
There is an accessibility plug-in (MakeAccessiblePlugIn.exe) for Acrobat Reader®http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/main.html which can be found on the Adobe® websitehttp://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep.html.
Office® Formats: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
There are programmes available for reading and converting the different versions in the Download Centerhttp://www.microsoft.com/en/us/default.aspx of the Microsoft website (select the ''Downloads and Trials'' option from the left-hand menu).
Converters and Viewers - text and image converters and portable document viewers.
ZIP Format: You can find applications to open these archives at PKWARE, INFO-ZIPhttp://www.info-zip.org/ or at WinZip.- Open formats: CSV, HTML (Open source) which allow users and equipment free access to information. The information available in XLS will be progressively converted to open formats: HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) e CSV (Comma Separated Values).
In all the cases above, whenever a user tries to access a file that is larger than 1 Mb (1024Kbytes) a warning will appear. This means that users can avoid any problems that may be caused by downloading large files.
This is especially important for users with:
- Internet traffic limits;
- Slow Internet connections;
- Less sophisticated equipment.
Therefore when a user tries to download a file that is larger than 1Mb (1024Kbytes), a page with the following information will appear:
" The (...) file size is (..)KB.
To avoid any problems while downloading the file, we suggest that you save it to your computer as follows:
- Right-click on the link and select "Save target as..."
- Choose the location or folder where you'd like the file to be saved, for example your desktop."
