The Portuguese Committee of URSI (International Union for Radio Science) hosted its eighth congress on the theme ''Drones and autonomous vehicles - present and future challenges''. The Congress will take place in Lisbon on 28 November 2014 at Fundação Portuguesa das Comunicações (Portuguese Communications Foundation).

The Portuguese Committee of URSI has the objective of stimulating, promoting and co-ordinating studies, at a national level, in the areas of radio electric, telecommunications, and electronics science, whereas ANACOM is responsible for the organisation of the works.

The Congress presented national and international papers and projects related to its theme.
