ANACOM Conference 2014: Consolidation in the telecommunications sector - trends and new challenges

On 22 September, at Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian in Lisbon, ANACOM held its seventh international conference, on the theme ''Consolidation in the telecommunications sector - trends and new challenges''.

This initiative, took place as part of ANACOM's 25th Anniversary commemorations, was intended to promote debate on what the future holds for the communications sector, with the intervention of national and international specialists.

The conference examined the implications for regulation resulting from the wave of mergers sweeping across Europe. It was also look at how the sector has evolved over the last 25 years after beginning the process of liberalisation.
