| NOTAS: | "Although the Portuguese Telecom regulator Autoridade Nacional de Comunicacoes (ANACOM) has been relatively slow in carrying out market analyses, on the spectrum allocation front it has been quite proactive in adhering to the EU’s guidelines. In 2011–12 it implemented spectrum refarming and allocated new licenses across multiple bands of spectrum, ranging from the 450MHz to 2.6GHz bands. On the broadband front, the regulator has proposed unbundling the fiber optic networks in the country. These initiatives are expected to improve competition and drive growth." |
