| NOTAS: | "Ovum's annual analysis of the size of the Western European wholesale market, based on the reported results of the 25 leading wholesalers, shows that wholesale revenues remained comparatively steady between 2010 and 2011 despite the combined impacts of the economic downturn, intense competition, and regulatory actions. Although revenues from the fixed voice sector of the market continued to fall, those from fixed non-voice and mobile wholesale – the wholesaling of mobile services to mobile virtual network operators and enablers (MVNOs and MVNEs) – both increased. Although a wide variety of players offer wholesale services in Europe, our analysis shows that the same five national incumbents continue to dominate the market." |
