A familiarity with the contents of this report is believed to be a prerequisite to an understanding of radiofrequency (RF) electromagnetic radiation interaction mechanisms and the measurement of external radiation fields. (...) The reader is encouraged to review this report in the order presented, beginning with definitions, followed by a succint description of fundamentals. In many respects the section on fundamentals is an amplification of the definitions.
