| NOTAS: | "The radio access network (RAN) market had revenues of approximately $36.1bn in 2012. When segmenting the market by air interface, GSM/WCDMA still accounts for the largest share of revenues. However, Ovum expects LTE to overtake GSM/WCDMA in terms of annual infrastructure revenues by 2016. From a vendor perspective the RAN market will remain very challenging. Ovum forecasts very limited revenue growth between now and 2018. Unfortunately the growth in LTE will be basically offset by declines in older mobile technologies. The successful vendors in this space will be those that can differentiate their solutions based on network optimization, monetization, and customer experience management." |
