| NOTAS: | "On behalf of the European Commission, DG Internal Market and Services WIK-Consult conducted a study on the „Design and development of initiatives to support the growth of e-commerce via better functioning parcel delivery systems in Europe". In December 2013 the European Commission published a roadmap for completing the single market for parcel delivery. In this roadmap the Commission requires more transparency for e-retailers and consumers and improving the availability, quality and affordability of delivery solutions. In this context WIK discusses and evaluates potential policy initiatives related to delivery services to promote and facilitate online trade in Europe. The analysis is based on current market studies, stakeholder interviews and intensive discussions at expert workshops in Cologne, Warsaw, Dublin and Athens and additional European sector events." |
