| NOTAS: | "In recent years, emerging market operators have shown varying degrees of interest in deploying LTE networks. However, in 2012, LTE has finally moved past the hype stage to become a reality, with a number of commercial launches, announcements of future deployments, and several trials taking place in emerging markets. Operators have not only made progress on LTE TDD networks, which we believe will account for the majority of emerging market deployments, but also on LTE FDD. This is largely due to the wide variations in spectrum availability across emerging markets. Since we published our report LTE in Emerging Markets in April 2011, LTE TDD has matured and we are much closer to seeing true multi-mode FDD/TDD devices." |
