""The report “State of Play of Interoperability in Europe 2016” identifies technology trends concerning interoperability initiatives that have been identified during the analysis over the years. The European Commission shares these trends to allow Member States to profit from existing expertise and initiatives. The trends identified are: Open Data and Open Technologies; Cyber Security; Cloud Computing; Social Media; Mobile technologies and Big Data and Analytics. For each technology trend, a brief overview of the main characteristics and some examples of Member States implementing these technologies are presented.The overall exercise shows that Member States would benefit from more guidance on how to improve the governance of their interoperability activities."
