These deployments often present economic bottlenecks similar to those found in copper networks, although they are often harder to deal with from a technological viewpoint. Even in countries that, in theory, should have similar approaches (such as the EU countries), striking differences often emerge; WBA markets are a clear reminder that one size does not fit all. The challenge is made even harder by the need to balance competition and investment, particularly in a developing context such as next-generation access (NGA)." |
