Over the same period, the same players’ European retail revenues also fell. In contrast, their total global revenues grew, highlighting the impact of the greater economic uncertainty in Europe than in most other regions of the world. In the European wholesale market, revenues from fixed voice and mobile wholesale services declined year on year, although revenues from the fixed non-voice sector rose, leaving total fixed wholesale revenues unchanged. Wholesalers must do more to counter the continuing decline in wholesale fixed and mobile voice revenues by improving their portfolios of higher-margin, non-voice services." |
