NOTAS:

"In the quest for new 5G spectrum, the frequencies around 3.5GHz and in the lower C-band spectrum up to 4.2GHz are gaining attention as a widely available, mid-range option that promises higher bandwidth and capacity than the sub-3GHz bands, coupled with support for TDD mode operation with its associated benefits. They are also being discussed as a potential roaming band for 5G in the future.

Once the preserve of fixed WiMAX operators and largely discounted by mobile broadband providers on grounds of high cost and poor propagation, the spectrum around 3.5GHz is already starting to support a migration to fixed TD-LTE with potential for future mobile services. Above 3.7GHz, mobile services may have to coexist with incumbents such as fixed satellite providers, essential services, and government bodies, however, meaning that their wider use is likely to require either a change of use or some form of shared access, as is already being proposed in the US."
