NOTAS:

"This guide highlights the responsibilities and obligations placed on manufacturers of apparatus (ie electrical and electronic components, finished products, systems and installations) that fall within the scope of the European Commission's Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive 89/336/EEC. It provides an internal EMC code of practice and quality assurance system which can be referred to during the design, procurement, production, development and approval stages of the apparatus development life-cycle and beyond, thus ensuring that EMC engineering practices are considered throughout the development process. The particular approach taken will have to be tailored for each apparatus type and for the compliance route, from components to finished products, to systems and to installations, but should in general be applicable to variants of a particular apparatus type. Guidance is given on the interpretation of the EMC Directive, the methods by which to show compliance with it and the strategies, frameworks and policies which should be in place. This will ensure early recognition of problems and keep expensive retrospective alterations to a minimum. This report makes an excellent companion volume to 97-0193 'EMC - A Practical Guide to Product Design and Certification".
