Declarations on significant market power
In accordance with article 3 of the Regulation for the Operation of the Fixed Telephone Service (FTS) and for the Installation and Operation of public pay-telephones for access to the FTS, approved by the Decree-Law no. 474/99 of 8 of November, and in accordance with no. 1 of article 21 of the Regulation for the Operation of Public Telecommunication Networks, approved by Decree-law no. 290-A/99 of 30 July, Instituto das Comunicações de Portugal (ICP) is responsible to the determination, declaration and publication, in an annual basis, which entities hold significant market power in the fixed telephone networks market and/or the fixed telephone service (FTS) and in the market for leased lines.
Thus, in compliance with the mentioned legal provisions, it is hereby made public that the board of directors of ICP have decided to declare PT Comunicações, S.A., an entity with significant market power in the fixed telephone networks market and/or the fixed telephone service (FTS) and in the market for leased lines.
It is further made public that the respective declarations are available to interested parties at the Public Attendance Services of Instituto das Comunicações de Portugal, at Avenida José Malhoa, 12, 1099-017 Lisbon, from 09.00 am to 04.00 pm, Monday to Friday, and on the website http://www.icp.pt
