As part of the IX Portuguese-Moroccan Summit, held in 2007, ANACOM and its Moroccan counterpart, ANRT - Agence Nationale de Réglementation des Télécommunications - (National Agency for the Regulation of Telecommunications), signed a cooperation protocol of in the area of telecommunications. The protocol is valid for a renewable period of three years.

The protocol sets out the development of cooperation between the two authorities on communications regulation, to be achieved through frequent exchanges within a framework of a common action plan. It includes measures such as seminars and work sessions on sectoral issues, internships, the mutual exchange of experts and delegation visits, and also the holding of high-level meetings. These measures  will be implemented by a permanent working group.
