ANACOM carries out inspection actions of postal distribution centres and identifies shortcomings in distribution
ANACOM carried out 22 inspection actions in thirteen CTT postal distribution centres between July 2021 and January 2022 and found shortcomings.
Of the total number of complaints received in 2021, about 63% referred to the electronic communications sector and 37% to postal services, which saw the largest increase in complaints.
In 2021, ANACOM concluded 329 cases, of which 45% ended with the application of fines, 18% with the application of admonitions and 9% were closed.

ANACOM has imposed a single fine of 48 thousand euros on MEO, the maximum amount permitted by law, for the wilful commission of 16 serious economic offences.
Maximum monthly fees in the RDAO will be reduced by 35% and in the RPAO will be reduced by 20%.
MEO was fined €712 000, while Vodafone was fined €425 000 and NOS €369 000.
In total, 20 vessels were checked, including coastal and long-range fishing vessels, hotel ships and pleasure craft.
