Exclusive use of Weak Signal Propagation Reporter (WSPR) and OPERA radio beacons, although similar in all respects to use of stations of common use as defined in Decree-Law 53/2009, of 2 Marchhttps://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?contentId=978436) does not fall into the same legal category. Their use will require authorization from ANACOM, under Article 14(1) of that Decree-Law.
Notwithstanding, these uses in individual amateur stations and in stations of common use without designated frequencies, under the applicable legislation and in accordance with the respective regulatory provisions, specifically the rules established in the National Table of Frequency Allocations (NTFA), do not require further authorization.
